Here Lived Eric Whitacre

The greatest artist of our age, Eric Whitacre, once lived on Magnolia, in days of auld lang syne. Here, i.e., was written Lux Aurumque, the first Virtual Choir. The Hollywood Regency octagon window, was his studio. In those days it was much padded with foam pylons — defense against the wail of the sirens, the boisterous oaths of the NoHo High kids coming home at 3:30 each day, or Clio barking at the mail lady.

Eric released his Virtual Choir 6 yesterday, to great acclaim, and the View’s delight. If Valley Village ever did anything to redeem her brazen infamy as America’s Original Automobile Suburb, it was in her time spent nurturing Eric’s music on mankind’s behalf.
